Orchid Luxury Spa offers a serene escape for clients seeking beauty and wellness treatments, inspired by a deep-seated passion for holistic wellness. Drawing on techniques and treatments from various cultures, the Spa provides a unique and rejuvenating experience, says Lebogang Garekwe, General Manager of Orchid Luxury Spa.
Garekwe identified a gap in the market for a premier Spa experience that seamlessly blends beauty with therapeutic benefits, which led to the creation of Orchid Luxury Spa. Additionally, Garekwe notes that Orchid Luxury Spa is a sister branch to three other interconnected establishments, all operating under the parent company, Orchis Rosea Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Orchid Luxury Spa first opened its doors on May 16th 2022 with the vision of establishing a high-end Spa built on exclusivity, personalized experiences, exceptional service quality, and an inviting ambiance. In an interview, Garekwe emphasized that these elements collectively position the Spa uniquely within the wellness industry, aiming to attract a clientele that values luxury and self-care.
OLS offers tailored treatments that are rare and distinctive, such as signature massages and exclusive beauty therapies. Garekwe explains that the Spa intends to further develop unique services by incorporating innovative techniques and rare ingredients, setting itself apart from competitors in the market. Additionally, Orchid Luxury Spa integrates wellness offerings as part of its services, particularly catering to corporate clients.
The Spa also plans to build strong community connections through collaborations and partnerships, offering exclusive workshops and events. The Spa looks forward to provide a positive impact in the skincare and wellness sector through its holistic approach with its Spa wellness bespoke treatments. They take pride in the skin care and body care brands they use being SIX Skin care, which is an evidence based scientific skincare brand and Thera Naka, a natural skin care and body care range that has treatments inspired by the beauty of Africa.
These treatments include candle massages, body wrap treatments, body scrubs, detox African mud foot wrap, energizing skin treatment to name a few. Orchid Luxury Spa stands out through its commitment to personalized services and a holistic approach to beauty and wellness. Its primary target market includes busy professionals and corporate employees seeking stress relief and rejuvenation. However, the serene environment also appeals to clients outside the corporate world, offering a tranquil escape for all.
Garekwe revealed to the Executive Lifestyle that the Spa’s initial closure was due to several challenges. One major issue was the reliance on flyers for advertising, with insufficient effort and resources allocated to broader marketing strategies. The focus on minimizing costs overshadowed the need to effectively promote the Spa and attract clients, ultimately hindering its success.
The re-launch of Orchid Luxury Spa reflects the efforts made behind the scenes to re-package and re-introduce the brand. Garekwe acknowledges the limitations of the past and shares her vision for the Spa’s future. This time, the Spa has engaged marketing experts, including a partnership with Lucia Molebatsi from Luch Inc Beauty and Aesthetics, to ensure a more strategic approach, they have also engaged with a social media marketing team VYB Digital which is headed by Karabo Letsholo. As part of the re-launch strategy, Orchid is adopting an integrated marketing approach, including impactful radio advertising and Print Media to reach a wider audience.
This will help inform the public about the Spa’s offerings and attract new clients while reconnecting with past ones. Garekwe also highlighted the Spa’s efforts to collaborate with local businesses and introduce wellness initiatives. By partnering with offices, Orchid aims to provide exclusive offers and host wellness days, bringing Spa treatments into the workplace. These partnerships not only enhance employee well-being but also foster a strong sense of community connection, says Garekwe.
