Paratus Botswana, part of the pan-African Paratus telco group, has launched its Wholesale Division, with a dedicated unit to provide wholesale telecommunications services to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and large resellers.

This expansion reinforces the commitment by Paratus Botswana to enhance connectivity and support digital transformation in the region.

The new division leverages the extensive Paratus Botswana infrastructure, including the Gaborone Fiber Ring, Botswana Kalahari Fiber Route (BKF), Plumtree route and a gateway license for international routing.

By integrating these assets with the broader Paratus Group network, this division offers high-performance, reliable and scalable solutions for the telecommunications sector.

The robust design of the network and services, ensures that maximum uptime is a cornerstone.

Paratus Botswana MD Shawn Bruwer explained, “Our Wholesale Division forms part of our long-term strategy to empower local operators and resellers and improve return on investment. We aim to offer cost-effective, reliable solutions that enhance service providers’ networks and their service delivery and performance.”

The Wholesale Division provides targeted solutions tailored to various sectors. ISPs and startups benefit from premium infrastructure access without the need for heavy capital investment, enabling rapid market entry and scalability.

Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and large resellers gain access to competitive pricing, reliable partnerships, consistent uptime, robust performance and true network diversity.

In addition, the division supports broader industry advancement by strengthening competition and improving regional and national networks, which in turn promotes sustainable growth and innovation across the ICT sector.

Paratus Botswana’s newly appointed Business Development Wholesale Manager, Hickory Khele adds: “Our solutions are built for performance, stability and uptime, offering wholesale customers the opportunity to leverage advanced connectivity without the associated capital costs. We’re committed to fostering a more competitive and digitally advanced environment so that our wholesale customers may benefit from world-class connectivity to anywhere in Africa and internationally.”
