Stanbic Bank Botswana and Botswana Doctor’s Union (BDU) have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement for a dedicated financial services scheme for all Members of BDU. The scheme looks to place the financial welfare of BDU members at the centre of an array of banking services support and is the first of its kind between a commercial bank and BDU.

Stanbic Bank Botswana joins the rest of the nation in constant and eternal gratitude for doctors, nurses and all other frontline staff working to protect Batswana and keep the nation safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Through this scheme facilitated by the Stanbic Bank Workplace Banking team, the Bank offers BDU members an array of banking solutions with the main aim being to drive home ownership and other financial goals. BDU members will be supported by the Executive Banking team for enhanced dedicated service, in line with the Bank’s commitment towards client centricity and superior service delivery, and in recognition and gratitude for the incredible role Botswana doctors and other medical professionals are playing during the pandemic.

Speaking at the event, President of the Botswana Doctors Union, Dr. Shingirai Muzondiwa said, they are excited about this partnership and what it means for their members as it presents an opportunity to grow, to create wealth and to secure their futures. “We thank the Stanbic Bank Botswana team for their passion and support and look forward to a bright future together.
