GetBucks Botswana (now FirstCred) founder, David van Niekerk, has filed an urgent application to interdict this publication from publishing information relating to the alleged mismanaged funds by the company under its former management which include Neikerk himself.

The funds were raised from a P500 million domestic medium note programme listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE).

Van Niekerk wants stop The Business Weekly & Review from reporting on contents of documents filed at the Gaborone High Court, amongst them a petition written by a group of creditors pushing for FirstCred to be liquidated because it is basically insolvent as a result of mismanagement chronicled by FirstCred CEO, Dudu Garekwe.
