First Capital Bank Botswana (FCB) successful hosted the Padel Club Regional
Tournament Grand Finale in Botswana from 26 to 27 September 2026, bringing together teams
representing the Bank’s territories across five countries for a weekend of competitive sport,
connection and camaraderie.
Held under the theme “Belief Comes First, On Every Court,” the Grand Finale celebrated the growing
FCB padel community while creating an opportunity for colleagues, families, young people and
members of the wider padel community to come together through a shared passion for the sport.
The tournament saw players from across the region bring their competitive spirit, individual stories
and sense of pride to the Grand Finale. While the competition produced winners on the court, the
weekend was equally defined by the relationships built, connections strengthened and shared
experiences created beyond the game.
Botswana delivered a strong performance on home soil, securing both the men’s and women’s titles,
while Zambia was crowned the overall country champion following its performance across the
tournament.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Grand Finale, First Capital Bank Botswana Chief Executive Officer,
Lesego Osman, said the tournament demonstrated the value of bringing people together around a
shared purpose.
“This was ultimately a wonderful reflection of what happens when our people come together with a
shared sense of purpose and belief. Beyond the competition on the court, the weekend gave us an
opportunity to strengthen relationships across our region, celebrate our people and showcase
Botswana as the host of an important regional moment.
“Sport creates a unique environment where people can connect, compete, learn from one another and
build relationships. The energy we experienced throughout the weekend was a reflection of the
strong community that continues to grow around padel and within First Capital Bank.”
The Grand Finale also extended beyond the participating teams, creating an inclusive environment for
families, young people and members of the wider padel community to experience the tournament and
engage with the sport.
For First Capital Bank, the event provided another platform to bring its brand belief to life through
meaningful experiences that connect people across markets.

tournament highlighted the role sport can play in building stronger communities and creating
connections across borders.

the Grand Finale.
