At Safari Air, aviation has always been about more than transporting people from one

destination to another. It is about creating connections, opening doors to opportunity,

supporting communities, and helping people access the extraordinary places that make

Botswana and Africa truly unique.

It is through this lens that Safari Air is proud to announce its participation in Girls in

Aviation Day 2026, a global initiative led by Women in Aviation International (WAI) in

partnership with Chiedza CheAfrica, designed to inspire young women to explore careers

in aviation, aerospace, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

As a company deeply rooted in Botswana, Safari Air recognizes that sustainable growth

is achieved when businesses invest not only in operations, but also in people.

Every day, the company’s aircraft connect remote communities, support tourism,

facilitate access to some of the most iconic wilderness destinations on earth, and

contribute to economic growth across the country. However, Safari Air believes its

responsibility extends beyond the skies.

Girls in Aviation Day reflects Safari Air’s commitment to empowering women and creating

pathways to meaningful careers within the aviation industry.

The Girls in Aviation Day programme will provide participants with hands-on exposure to

the aviation environment through interactive learning stations, aircraft experiences,

engineering demonstrations, flight operations activities, mentorship circles and panel

discussions featuring women working across various aviation disciplines.

The event will enable girls aged 10 to 18 to engage directly with pilots, engineers, flight

operations personnel and aviation leaders.“If She Can See It, She Can Be It.”

For Safari Air, success is measured not only by the destinations served, but by the lives

impacted along the journey.

About Safari Air

Safari Air is a Botswana-based aviation company committed to providing safe, reliable

and professional aviation services while connecting people to the remarkable

landscapes, wildlife destinations and communities of Botswana
