Westlife Insurance Botswana has unveiled an ambitious five-year growth strategy anchored on strengthening partnerships, improving product awareness and expanding its footprint across Botswana.

Speaking during a stakeholder evening held in Gaborone under the theme Resilient Partnerships, the company brought together brokers, corporates, bancassurance partners, unions, SACCOs, affinity groups and corporate agents as it outlined its long-term vision for the market.

The insurer said its roadmap will focus on three key strategic pillars — strengthening brand visibility, driving product awareness and innovation, and deepening stakeholder relationships across Botswana.

The company further revealed that it aims to position itself as a trusted and innovative life insurer, with measurable targets centred on brand confidence, customer satisfaction, digital engagement and sustained growth in new business.

Westlife offers a range of individual insurance solutions including funeral cover, life cover, fiduciary services, hospital cash plans, critical illness cover, annuities and investment products. The insurer also provides group solutions for businesses and institutions such as group funeral schemes, group credit schemes and group life assurance.

Addressing stakeholders during the engagement, Westlife Insurance Botswana Chief Executive Officer Kgomotso Ratlhaga said collaboration remains central to building a stronger insurance sector in Botswana.

“At Westlife Insurance Botswana, resilience is not built alone, but rather through partnerships grounded in trust, mutual respect, shared growth and long-term value,” she said.

Ratlhaga added that insurance should go beyond policies and focus on protecting futures, building confidence and strengthening communities.

The company also reaffirmed its commitment to consumer education, targeted community engagement and CEO-led thought leadership as part of its broader brand positioning strategy.

The stakeholder evening marks another step in Westlife’s drive to become a leading innovative and solution-driven life insurer in Botswana.
