BIUST to confer degrees on 297 graduates this week

The Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) announced that its seventh Graduation Ceremony billed for the Friday 23rd of September 2022 from 09:00-1100 hrs at its campus in Palapye.

The theme for the Class of 2022 Graduation Ceremony is “Building a University of Industries through a well-rounded Ecosystem for Economic Transformation and Innovative Entrepreneurship.”

The Chief Executive Officer of Bulb World (Pty) Ltd, Ketshepaone Jacob, will be the Guest Speaker of this prestigious event. The respective stakeholders, families and friends are invited to join the graduates in celebrating their academic achievement.

The University will confer degrees on 297  Graduates:  225 Undergraduates and 72 Postgraduates  from various academic disciplines. BIUST is delighted to share with the nation that it is releasing a cohort that is equipped with knowledge and skills needed in industry. This cohort is charged with the responsibility to strategically position themselves, create employment and play leading roles in the fourth industrial revolution.

The graduation event is sponsored by Stanbic Bank Botswana, a long-term partner of BIUST.  Stanbic Bank Botswana commits to continue partnership with BIUST to celebrate and graduate well-educated, passionate and determined young minds with exceptional understanding of mathematics, science, engineering and technology. “We are adding to the depth of talent in the economy and moving ever closer to becoming a knowledge-based economy,” the bank said.
