Cresta Marakanelo Limited (CML) recently unveiled a new global brand, building upon the success of the retiring ‘Bona Botswana Jwa Rona’ brand campaign that was active throughout 2021. Named ‘See Botswana Differently with Cresta Hotels,’ the new brand aims to broaden its appeal to international, regional, and local markets, showcasing its chain of hotels across Botswana.

During the annual MD’s Roadshow in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Cresta’s Managing Director (MD) Mokwena Morulane highlighted Cresta Hotels’ distinctive position as the hotel chain boasting the largest geographical footprint in Botswana. Presently, Cresta Hotels spans across six of Botswana’s ten districts.

The new campaign is fully aligned with CML’s 2024-2028 Corporate Strategy, aiming to attract an even wider global audience to experience the diverse offerings of Botswana, whether as business or leisure travelers, through the lens of Cresta Hotels. In line with its ongoing commitment to stimulate domestic tourism, the campaign has introduced packages designed to inspire Batswana to explore their own backyard and uncover the hidden treasures of their homeland.

Morulane said Cresta Hotels offers a unique value proposition to its guests through its ‘authentic African’ positioning of its tourism product.

“

As a Company with a proud Botswana heritage, our story is a story of Botswana and our brand is rich with the essence of Botswana, making us best placed to make this invitation for the world to come and experience Botswana from our hotels,” added.
