Botswana’s proposed Income Tax Bill 2025 carries significant implications for the labour market, forcing employers to rethink retention strategies for scarce skills as they race to ensure operational readiness and compliance with the new tax framework.
Speaking to this publication, Aupracon Tax Specialists’ Jonathan Hore said the reform is expected to restructure personal income tax brackets. Under the proposal, annual earnings between P156,000 and P400,000 would be taxed at 25 percent, while income above P400,000 would attract a 27.5 percent rate.
