UN reprimands Botswana Over Mining in the Okavango Delta

Tourism is one of the hard hit sectors around the globe for the Covid 19 corona virus. The mokoro is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport, and for game viewing safaris. The Minister of Minerals Lefoko Moagi has responded sharply to a lawsuit by an international diamond and metal exploration company, notifying it of his intention to oppose the application. 

Moagi has placed before the Maun High Court numerous documents that he intends to use in support of his opposing application, one of them a letter addressed to the company 1st June 2022.
