  • Retrenchees Advised to Seek Intervention through an MP
  • Efforts to retain the 200 have failed
  • Nine divisions affected by the retrenchment

After filing a petition with Parliament through their union following failure of their efforts to seek alternative ways to retrenchment, 200 retrenchees of Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) have been advised to see an MP of their choice to bring the matter to the National Assembly.

The 200 have been on garden leave until their retrenchment took effect on 9 December (today).
