MOROCCO: On Monday, the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Morocco, in a joint statement, announced that the annual meetings of the two global institutions would go ahead in October in Marrakech despite a recent nearby earthquake that has killed thousands of people and damaged infrastructure.
The meeting will take place from 9-15 October in Marrakech, with some changes to adapt content “to the circumstances,” the statement said. (ETM)
