The Botswana Mine Workers Union (BMWU) is vindicated by the Industrial Court judgment that interdicted Lucara Botswana from proceeding with its restructuring process pending consultations, the union has said.
The union is now calling for the executive leadership of Lucara to step down because “there is a serious deficit in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) stewardship” and other issues at the diamond mining company.
