A forensic audit report prepared by BDO Zambia Audit Service has found that MyBucks SA, a company founded by Dave van Niekerk, was the ultimate beneficiary of funds running into millions of euros raised in Zambia.
The report shows that the funds were raised from AS Mintos Marketplace with 74 percent of them paid to MyBucks SA, and never reimbursed.
BDO found that only 27 percent of the funds raised from the AS Mintos Marketplace platform were transferred to other interbank accounts. “However, we are unable to determine the exact purpose for the application of funds,” BDO said in its report.
