Botswana’s push to become a regional digital hub advanced last week with the launch of the Digital Delta Data Centre (DDDC), the country’s first Tier III–certified national data facility.
BoFiNet Acting CEO Keabetswe Segole described the launch as the result of years of disciplined investment. He said the company financed the project entirely through revenue from its own operations, largely from international clients, and without government subvention since 2018. “For BoFiNet to deliver a project of this magnitude, fully funded by revenue generated from our own operations, it’s a moment of immense pride,” he said, adding that the achievement underscores the organisation’s commercial resilience and the success of its revenue-diversification strategy.
