The Botswana Telecommunications Corporation has officially launched BTC Business, a refreshed identity for its enterprise division aimed at driving digital transformation and business growth across Botswana and the wider Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

The launch marks a strategic shift in BTC’s business operations as the company strengthens its position as a provider of integrated digital solutions for government institutions, corporates and organisations operating in key sectors such as banking, mining, tourism, healthcare, education, manufacturing and agriculture.

Speaking at the launch in Gaborone, BTC Chief Executive Officer Jürgen Peschel said the new business division is built around the promise “Delivered Now. Connected to What’s Next,” reflecting the company’s focus on reliable services and future-ready technologies.

Peschel said BTC Business is designed to provide stable connectivity, cloud services, cybersecurity and managed digital solutions backed by nationwide infrastructure, 24-hour support and dedicated account management. He added that the division will also support businesses looking to expand operations, migrate to cloud platforms and strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across the SADC region.

BTC Chief Enterprise Sales Officer Sefalana Mophuting said the repositioning of BTC Business was informed by direct customer engagement and growing demand for more integrated and responsive digital solutions.

Mophuting noted that BTC has continued investing in infrastructure through its National Network Optimisation Project, which has upgraded more than 390 network sites to improve 4G coverage and reduce service interruptions.

She further said increasing regulatory requirements, including the Botswana Data Protection Act, have heightened demand for local data hosting and trusted digital partners capable of delivering compliant and scalable solutions.

According to BTC, the refreshed BTC Business identity signals the next phase in the company’s enterprise growth strategy as organisations increasingly transition towards data-driven and digitally enabled operations.
