BIHL Board has announced the appointment of Edwin Elias. He is joined the board as a non-executive director effective 22nd August 2023. Elias is a Metallurgical Engineer by profession with at least 20 years of experience within the Mining Industry.
He holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management, Toronto, Canada; a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) – Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA and an Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) Certification from the London Business School, London, UK.
He is also a member of the IODSA (Institute of Directors in South Africa) and a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum (CIM). Overall Elias is a strategic and visionary leader who is highly energetic, task and people oriented executive leader, who has the ability to lead, direct and build high performing teams. The Board says it is confident that his wealth of experience will be invaluable to the BIHL Board.
