First Capital Bank Botswana (FCB) has announced its sponsorship of the 3rd Annual Business & Leadership EXPO, contributing P25,000 towards a platform that connects young people with experienced industry leaders. Taking place from the 10th – 11th September2026, the event is expected to draw approximately 700 participants, with a particular focus on youth, new graduates, university students and unemployed young people.

The EXPO covers key focus areas including Finance, Leadership, Marketing, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, offering attendees practical insight into emerging trends and opportunities relevant to their personal and professional development.

The timing of this sponsorship carries added significance as Botswana marks 60 years of Independence this year, under the theme “Building Resilience, Driving Prosperity“. The nation’s next chapter of growth will be written by its young people, and by the SMMEs they go on to build. It is Botswana’s SMMEs that continue to drive the way forward in diversifying and growing the economy, and platforms such as these give rising entrepreneurs and future business leaders the tools, insight and confidence to do just that.

“We believe in the potential sitting in this room, and in rooms like it across the country,” noted Lorato Radikara, Head of SME & Retail Banking, First Capital Bank Botswana. “As we celebrate 60 years of Independence, we are reminded that Botswana’s story has always been carried forward by its people. Supporting this EXPO is our way of standing behind the young people and Botswana-owned businesses that will carry this story into its next chapter.”
