  • FSG “doesn’t fit very well within our strategy as a group”
  • Africa Lighthouse to become a majority shareholder in FSG by dint of acquiring BIHL shares

Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited’s (BIHL) decision to divest from Funeral Service Group (FSG) Limited is motivated by the fact that the caretaker business does not fit into BIHL’s strategy.

BIHL, through its subsidiary, Botswana Life Insurance Limited, is selling its 37.62 stake in FSG, with Africa Lighthouse Capital being the company that will acquire the shares.
