The new Audi RS 6 Avant GT stands as the pinnacle of its model series, boasting a plethora of exclusive details both inside and out. From its imposing pass-through roof edge spoiler to its redefined diffuser and striking 22-inch wheels with a distinctive design, every aspect underscores its top-tier position. At the rear, a motorsport-inspired double wing, a tailgate with a visually lowered loading edge, and bold black “RS 6 GT” lettering define its unique interpretation. Additionally, a functional diffuser featuring a centrally placed reflector not only enhances the car’s width but also amplifies its sporting character.
The Avant GT boasts a formidable power output of 463kW and an impressive maximum torque of 850Nm. As the spearhead of the series, it accelerates from 0-100km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds and reaches 200km/h from a standstill in just 11.5 seconds, showcasing its exceptional performance capabilities. With a top speed of 305km/h, the RS 6 Avant GT offers exhilarating speed and agility. Additionally, it comes equipped with the RS ceramic brake system, ensuring precise and reliable braking performance.
The power of the 4.0 TFSI engine is transmitted to the permanent all-wheel drive Quattro system through the standard eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox with optimised shift times. The RS 6 Avant GT is equipped with the latest version of the locking center differential, which is notably lightweight and compact.
This reengineered center differential enhances driving dynamics, providing noticeably more precise cornering and reducing understeer at the limit. In the event of slippage, the differential automatically redistributes drive torque to the axle with better traction. Audi states that up to 70 percent of torque can be directed to the front axle and up to 85 percent to the rear axle.
To set this variant apart from other RS models, the Quattro Sport Differential on the rear axle has been finely tuned. The new design parameters prioritise greater agility and a rear bias when the vehicle is set to “dynamic” driving mode.
With a higher spring rate, triple-adjustable dampers, and stiffer stabilizers, less body roll is ensured, ultimately enhancing the driving experience. Alternatively, customers have the option to order the RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control or the RS adaptive air suspension.
The RS 6 Avant GT comes equipped with the RS design package plus as standard, elevating its interior aesthetics. The black interior is accentuated by various highlights in an exclusive combination of red and copper. These accents can be found in the stitching on the steering wheel, the sides of the centre console, the centre armrest, door armrests, and the floor mats featuring “RS 6 GT” lettering. Additionally, the new RS bucket seats, crafted in a leather-Dinamica combination, incorporate the “RS 6 GT” lettering beneath the headrests, echoing the same colour scheme. The honeycomb stitching at the center of the seats gleams in Express red, while the outer seam of the bucket seats is adorned in copper.
The armrests, dashboard, centre console, including its sides, and the door waist rails are upholstered in Dinamica black microfibre, offering a luxurious touch to the interior. Complementing this, the decorative inlays are covered in Dinamica deep black microfibre, providing a cohesive aesthetic. Alternatively, customers can opt for the decorative inlays in an open-pore carbon twill structure for added sophistication. The seat belts, in a striking full crimson red colour, add a bold accent to the interior. A unique feature of the centre console is the inclusion of the car’s serial number, highlighting its exclusivity as part of the limited run of 660 units worldwide.
Every GT-specific feature is meticulously crafted by hand, ensuring precision and attention to detail. This includes the bonnet, fenders, rocker panels, double wing, front and rear aprons, and the adjustable coilover suspension. The production is globally limited to just 660 units, enhancing its exclusivity. Additionally, the heritage decals inspired by the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO further underscore the model’s unique legacy and heritage.
When a model reaches its maximum, it can only be the new Audi RS 6 Avant GT and the new Audi RS 6 Avant GT is without doubt the pinnacle of the model series.
