On the 26th to 27th June 2024, People and Gap will host an array of research, data, brand, and business development experts from across Africa for the inaugural People and Data Africa Conference in Gaborone, Botswana, to delve into the transformative power of data and research on African brands and businesses.

Focused on exploring the benefits and impact of research and data, the People and Data Africa Conference will feature real-world business case studies, discussions on people insights, cultural dynamics, the latest trends, and technological advancements in data analytics.

Moreover, the engagement will connect with industry players, experts, and thought leaders, gaining invaluable insights into the world of data-driven decision-making. The Conference will feature an impressive lineup of speakers including CEO and Founder of Stencil Technologies Ogone Mothooagae, Ugandan Multimedia Professional and Founder of TechTalk Africa Francis Tumwekwasize, Executive Director of Uniccon Group of Companies in Nigeria Judith Ekwuene, and Co-Founder and CEO of the award-winning AI startup Seriti Insights from Botswana, amongst others.

People and Gap Event Director Tuduetso Mokgosi affirmed the relevance of the event in this data-centric era, and as Botswana and the rest of Africa move towards knowledge-based economies in an era where there is an explosion of new and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence which promises to change all aspects of life.

“In today’s data-driven world, the importance of data and research cannot be overstated. They play a crucial role in decision-making, problem-solving, and innovation across various industries and sectors. Therefore, the People and Data Africa Conference aims to empower businesses to harness the transformative potential of data-driven insights for sustainable growth and development,” she said.

Through panel discussions, case study presentations, and exhibitions in the research, data, and analytics industry, experts will share insights on the role of data and how it can be used to drive socio-economic development of Africa.
