Banks and companies to be forced to disclose employee salaries

Banks and companies listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange, insurance companies and pension funds will be compelled to publish their employees’ salaries on their websites and reports under certain provisions proposed by the Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority (BAOA). 

Absence of empathy and insufficient levels of goodwill in Botswana’s corporate culture of “gross income inequality” and an urgent need to correct the anomaly are a major facet of legislative reforms being proposed by the Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority (BAOA).
