Botswana Life Insurance Limited (BLIL), a major subsidiary of the diversified financial services group Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited (BIHL), has bounced back to profitability following a turbulent period of COVID-19.

The Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BIHL, Catherine Lesetedi, said it is not surprising that the Group was heavily affected because events of the last two years affected almost every business.

“But we do believe that we have built a resilient business. When some lines underperform, some lines do come through.” Lesetedi said when briefing stakeholders on the group interim financials for the period ended 30 June 2022. “Overall, the results look a lot better than during the period of COVID-19.”
