This development, the group says, is aligned with licensing growth strategy, where they have successfully expanded the Caltex footprint with key partners in other parts of Africa and beyond. Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies and has been present in South Africa for more than 80 years.
Caltex – a global Chevron marketing brand – is currently used under license in South Africa and Botswana. Chevron says it will expand the Caltex fuel network in collaboration with local partners, seeking to leverage the Caltex brand strength and premium fuels with its proprietary Techron additive. Only Caltex branded service stations offer Caltex with Techron fuels, that clean and protect engines from friction while you drive, with the new clean and glide technology.
“The Caltex star, our symbol of quality, value and service, is a constant reminder of our commitment to our partners and customers,” said Rochna Kaul, Vice President for Chevron Europe, Africa, Middle East and South Asia Sales and Global Marine. “We are excited to build on Chevron’s decades-long legacy in the market and are committed to grow the Caltex network across South Africa and Botswana, where we will continue to provide modern facilities, high-quality products, and fast and friendly service to our customers.”
