Europe has emerged as the most lucrative untapped market for Botswana’s horticultural exports, with an estimated $750 million in unrealised export potential across 194 product–market combinations in the European Union.
Research by the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) shows that the opportunity in Europe dwarfs prospects in Asia, estimated at $512 million, and North America at $130.1 million.
