      Kgori Capital appoints Alice Wellio-Moyo as independent non-executive director

      The Board of Directors of Kgori Capital announced the appointment of Alice Abigail Wellio-Moyo as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective 16 November 2021.

      Wellio-Moyo is a seasoned executive and strategic leader with 15 years of experience spanning across the corporate industry including Commercial Banks, Micro Lenders, the Central Bank, Mining Entities, Fund and Asset management companies, Retail, and Manufacturing Companies. She is currently the Head of Finance (local finance director) at PPC Botswana.

      “We are pleased to welcome Ms. Wellio-Moyo as a new Independent Non-Executive Director on our Board, inspired by the increased calibre of excellence this adds to our governance structures. We look forward to Ms. Wellio-Moyo’s invaluable contribution and guidance as we continue to focus our efforts in delivering sustainable investment opportunities for our clients and indeed the nation. We are a proud Botswana business steadfast in building legacies for Batswana and growing our sector,” said Kennedy Molamu, Kgori Capital Board Chairman.

      Wellio-Moyo’s extensive leadership experience has seen her serve on various Boards such as being a current Council Member of Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), Chairman of the BICA Public Sector Council, and a Non-Executive Director of deVere Acuma Botswana. Ms Wellio-Moyo is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a professional member of Botswana Institute of Accountants (FCPA). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting (Cum Laude) and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration from Sheffield Hallam University.
