Local human capital development company, Pinnalead, has once again on 6 October 2023 successfully hosted the annual Live2Lead simulcast conference, a leader development experience designed to equip attendees with new perspectives, practical tools and key takeaways.
Held recently in Gaborone under the theme, “Tenning Over a New Leaf: Gearing For New Horizons,” the simulcast conference attracted participants interested in transformative leadership strategies and personal advancement. According to the Founder and Director of Pinnalead, Lorato Mosetlhanyane, the Live2Lead 2023 theme came from the number 10 and was informed by the reality that it was a double celebration for PinnaLead as a company on its tenth anniversary and the Live2Lead leadership simulcast that the company was hosting for the 10th year.
She told delegates: “The theme acknowledges that what served us for the first 10 years will not serve us going forward. We are also mindful that what we served our clients for the past 10 years will not quench their thirst going forward. We therefore commit to exploring new ways of driving our mandate effectively for the benefit of our clients and not just for us.”
Mosetlhanyane was delighted to state that John C Maxwell introduced the Live2Lead event to reach out to his coaches. “It has been an interesting journey with high and low moments, excitement and disappointments,” she said. “Despite all the past experiences, we chose to keep bringing the event over and over as we believe it is a great initiative aligned with our mantra of ‘Raising the Leadership Lid’ in our nation.”
Mindset Change
Mosetlhanyane noted that the conference came at a critical time when Botswana is pursuing a mindset change through a national campaign. “In our lineup of speakers this year, we brought people from different walks of life to provide variety, cover a broader perspective, and make sure there is something for each of you,” she said.
PinnaLead is a transformational leadership and human capital development company that started operations in Botswana in March 2013. The company facilitates transformational leadership using a wide variety of programs, including John Maxwell’s leadership materials, with its programmes covering five main areas: leadership training, leadership assessments, professional coaching, change management team building and team dynamics.
