Pule Funeral Group has launched an innovative funeral services product that caters specifically for people between the ages of 65 and 85.
Styled Baleboge Funeral Cover, the product is designed to fill an insurance gap for senior citizens as a demographic that is often overlooked by traditional insurance companies.
Speaking at the launch of the product in Gaborone, the Sales and Marketing Manager at Pule Funeral Group, Themba Tlou, highlighted the significance of the focus of Baleboge on addressing the unique needs of senior citizens. “We are proud to introduce Baleboge Cover, a policy designed exclusively for the senior individuals of our society,” Tlou said. “The name ‘Baleboge’ simply means to show gratitude.”
“It encourages people to sign up for the funeral cover for their older family members to show gratitude for their lives and, in some instances nurturing, for having raised them. “The cover fills this gap by providing a comprehensive solution tailored to the needs of our valued seniors.” Tlou explained that the cover offers a range of exceptional benefits, providing comprehensive coverage worth P15,000 of funeral services which include a casket, a standard hearse, 50 funeral programmes, a grave cover and a complete funeral service.
He said Pule Funeral Group is committed to alleviating the financial burden on families during difficult times by ensuring a dignified farewell for their loved ones. He described Baleboge Funeral Cover as unique because there is no waiting period for accidental death, providing immediate coverage for such unforeseen circumstances, while the waiting period for natural deaths is 12 months 24 months for suicides. Meanwhile, it came to light at the launch that MmaMotse Burial Society was among the first to sign up for the special funeral cover.
Disclosing this, Operations Manager of Pule Funeral Group, Tshepo Mogotsi, emphasised that every individual deserves access to adequate funeral coverage regardless of age. “Our partnership with MmaMotse Burial Society allows us to extend our reach and serve a segment that has been historically underserved,” he said. “Baleboge is a testament to our dedication to inclusivity, ensuring that no one is left without the support they deserve during their time of need.”
