Kereteletswe serves as part of the Bank’s Country Leadership Committee (CLC).

Kereteletswe will play an instrumental role in driving holistic and sustainable progress in the Bank’s transformation agenda, catapulting Stanbic Bank into its vision of a platform business and bank of the future. This includes supporting the Bank’s strategy around building local capacity, unlocking the full potential of teams and business and promulgating sustainable value creation for and with all stakeholders. The right technology and sound operational practices are integral to this.

Said Stanbic Bank Chief Executive, Chose Modise, “we are thrilled to have Tshidi join the business in this key role. Our strategy as a business is clear and key to that is capacitating ourselves with the best technology, infrastructure and human capital. In line with our people promise and our inclusive diversity agenda, we welcome Tshidi to the team, indeed back to the Bank as she was part of the “Blue team”. Tshidi  has  an incredible depth of talent and experience and with her addition to the team, we now see near perfect gender parity in our 15 CLC members of impeccable skill and experience, an achievement we remain proud of.”

Tshidi rejoins us from First National Bank (FNB) Botswana where she worked as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for all operations and the implementation of the strategies for  FNB Botswana including Rand Merchant Bank (RMB). Prior to that, she worked for Stanbic Bank  as Head of Operations. She has also worked for ABSA (then referred to as Barclays Bank Botswana) where she held various Senior and Executive management roles including Chief Internal Auditor, Chief Operating Officer (acting) and Head of Change Integration, just to name a few.  She has also worked for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), an agency of the United Nations in the Information Technology area.

Kereteletswe wields in excess of twenty-six years’ experience in the corporate world, covering Information Communications & Technology, People Leadership, Change Management, Auditing and Operations.  It is this depth of experience and capability which we now celebrate as joining our fold.

Tshidi holds a Masters in Business Administration from De Montfort University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Computer Science (Cooperative Programme) from Technical University of Nova Scotia (TUNS), Canada.  She has a significant amount of professional training, the latest being Corporate Governance from Astrotech Training, South Africa, Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School, USA and Digital Transformation Strategy from Gordon Institute Business School (GIBS), South Africa.     She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) as well as the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
