The partnership creates an opportunity for Unayo users to make use of Cash-In and Cash-Out services at kiosks located at TRANS Cash & Carry stores. Cash-In transactions allow registered Unayo users to deposit funds into their accounts.ย The Cash-Out service allows registered Unayo users to withdraw funds from their accounts. Non-registered voucher recipients can also redeem the Unayo vouchers at the Unayo kiosk.
The partnership with TRANS Cash & Carry will be rolled out in phases, the first phase covering four Trans Africa stores in Greater Gaborone. These include:
- Trans Hyper Mogoditshane
- Trans Hyper Tlokweng
- Jumbo Industrial
- Trans Industrial
The transactions will be facilitated by TRANS Cash & Carry cashiers located at branded kiosks within the TRANS Cash & Carry stores. In due course, the scope of services will be expanded to include payment for goods as well as the purchase of Value Added Services such as airtime and prepaid electricity. Furthermore, other TRANS Cash & Carry stores will also be enabled to offer Unayo services.
