On Saturday, March 29th, 2025, the scenic Gabane Pottery played host to an inspiring experience that brought together media, trailblazing women executives and entrepreneurs for the much-anticipated TastsoConnekt Leading Women Brunch 2.0.

Tatso. A Setswana word. Taste●Tatso / ta-tso/. verb.

Curated and hosted by Basadi ‘Bash’ Masimolole of  Bash Connektor, the brunch was a high value, low volume experience designed for healing, growth and networking while enjoying pottery sessions, painting, gastronomy (fine food) and connekting stories of overcomers. That’s overcoming failures, mistakes and struggles.

Gabane, a small village on the outskirts of Gaborone, is home to Gabane Pottery. The pottery center was established in year 1985 by Germans as a way to creating employment for Gabane residents.

Bash says “With this social impact initiative, I am committed beyond 29 March 2025 to curatung and hosting with Gabane Pottery either at Gabane Pottery or bringing Gabane Pottery to anywhere and everywhere Government- Parastatal- Private Organisations may be.”

Held under the theme, ” Causes of “Self Doubt” for Women Executives & Enterprenuers; Mechanisms to cope with Imposter Syndrome,” the gathering served as a powerful platform for storytellers to share their personal struggles, triumphs, and strategies for coping with self doubt.

Storytellers in Gobonaone Modisane, a Social Entrepreneur and Special Education Teacher as well as Ludo Bagopi, Content Creator and Mental Health Educator and Angel Setumo , a relentless advocate of accessible, affordable, and inclusive Digital Financial Services provided valuable insights on how to heal, silence negative thoughts, re – build confidence, and embrace accomplishments without guilt.

Attendees learned practical coping mechanisms such as mindfulness, mentorship, and self-affirmation techniques to combat imposter syndrome and navigate their lives with resilience.

A brunch to remember

Of course, no brunch is complete without breaking bread, and TatsoConnekt ensured guests were treated to delectable memories by Myhomecafebw.

The picturesque setting of Gabane Pottery added a tranquil backdrop to a classy set up by Lefifi Investments.

The TatsoConnekt Leading Women Brunch 2.0 was more than just an event: it was a movement. A celebration of resilience, ambition, and the unbreakable spirit of women who are determined to shatter ceilings and rise above self-doubt.
