Scarcity of Sponsors hits Chess Federation

For the first time in a while, Botswana Chess Federation (BCF) is finding it difficult to secure sponsors to fund its activities, its Secretary, Mokwaledi Tingwane, has told this publication.

According to Tingwane, BCF used to have several sponsors funding its activities, including the league and tournaments, but that is not the case any more. 

“Lately we are left with only two sponsors in BOTASH and Metropolitan who each have a tournament that they are sponsoring,” Tingwane told The Business Weekly Sports in a telephone interview.
