There is something that comes with having the word manager attached to your role. Say, for instance, Operations Manager, Human Resources Manager, Information Technology Manager, etc. Firstly, it is a huge confidence boost, and it makes you somewhat relevant; however, this has been seen to come with some shortfalls, which seemed a bit unfair. The one shortfall that we wish to discuss is overtime pay; apparently, a certain worker category is not entitled to this. This is contrary to the looming changes regarding labour laws in Botswana, which provide for overtime pay for the above-mentioned category of workers.
