The expansion includes two presidential suites, two executive suites, and a paraplegic-friendly room, all equipped with cutting-edge technologies. The total room inventory now reaches an impressive 124, including 55 deluxe rooms. This expansion not only enhances Cresta Mahalapye’s capacity but also elevates the standards of hospitality in the region.
During his speech, Morulane unveiled the broader vision of Cresta Marakanelo Limited, with ongoing and upcoming investments in various properties across Botswana. The company aims to become a dominant mid-scale hotel group in Southern Africa, with plans for technological advancements, including the implementation of a new cloud-based property management system.
Aubrey Lesaso, the Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, praised Cresta Marakanelo Limited for its significant contribution to Botswana’s economic development. He highlighted the company’s role in providing employment opportunities for over 970 citizens and its commitment to training individuals in critical skills for the hospitality industry, aligning with the Vision 2036 agenda.
