National Development Bank (NDB) has secured a USD 10 million loan facility from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), marking a significant milestone in strengthening agricultural financing and advancing Botswana’s sustainable economic transformation agenda.
The facility, which is currently at the drawdown stage, is specifically targeted and ring- fenced for seasonal input loans for farmers in Pandamatenga and Mosisedi, two of Botswana’s most strategic agricultural production zones. These areas play a critical role in national grain production and food security, directly supporting Botswana’s drive towards agricultural resilience and reduced import dependency.
