Miss Botswana Organisation Mobilises Support for Chombo’s Quest for Miss World Crow
To enhance her chances of securing a strong placement at the grand finale, the Miss Botswana Organisation is calling upon local corporations to offer support to Lesego Chombo as she vies for the prestigious Miss World title.
Benjamin Raletsatsi, the Director of Miss Botswana, emphasised the importance of forging strategic partnerships not only to bolster Chombo’s journey in the Miss World competition but also to sustain and expand the pageant’s overall success. Raletsatsi believes these alliances play a crucial role in enhancing various sectors such as media and content, fashion, entertainment, tourism, and product manufacturing, thereby contributing to the broader socio-economic landscape.
The Miss Botswana Organisation aims to elevate its status by hosting the international pageant, slated to be one of the top two largest and most renowned pageants globally by 2026. In light of this ambitious goal, the organisation encourages corporate entities to seize this opportunity to enhance their visibility and stimulate growth across the beauty, arts, manufacturing, and tourism sectors.
“We believe that with the right partnerships, we can provide our contestants with the best platform to showcase their talents, intelligence, and beauty on an international level. The partnerships we seek will benefit the pageant itself and contribute to the personal and professional growth of the crowned Miss Botswana to ensure we have the calibre of candidates such as Lesego Chombo to send to the international stage,” Raletsatsi added.
Raletsatsi acknowledged and conveyed gratitude for the current partnerships that have been instrumental in driving the pageant’s success thus far.
“Lesego Chombo, competing fiercely at the current Miss World, has shown that it’s possible to win the crown and for Botswana to be a significant player in the vast beauty industry.”
Chombo has showcased an outstanding performance at the ongoing Miss World competition in India, earning high praise from international pageant experts. She has made history as the first delegate from Botswana to secure placements in all fast-track events. Among her notable achievements are winning the head-to-head challenge, advancing as a semi-finalist in the Beauty with a Purpose segment, and reaching the finals in both the Top Model Africa and Talent Competition. The Grand Finale is slated for March 9th.
