South African hospitality brand Zorz Luxury Chisanyama is expanding into Botswana, with its first outlet outside South Africa set to open at Remmogo Mall in Gaborone.
Established in March 2025 in Midrand by a South African hospitality group, Zorz has built its brand around Chisanyama, a Southern African social dining tradition centred on fire-grilled meat.
The Gaborone outlet will bring the concept to the local market, combining grilled meat with music, entertainment and a social dining experience.
According to the company, the Botswana expansion is not intended to simply replicate its Midrand operation, but to develop a destination that reflects the local market.
Zorz says it will work with local suppliers and employ local staff as it establishes its presence in Botswana.
The company describes its offering as a premium take on traditional Chisanyama, with meat prepared over an open flame and served alongside a hospitality experience designed around social gatherings.
The Gaborone outlet is expected to cater for a range of occasions, including celebrations, birthdays, dates and casual dining.
Zorz said the Botswana opening represents its first expansion beyond South Africa and is part of its plans to take the brand into new markets.
The company is inviting Batswana to shape the identity of the Gaborone outlet as it establishes itself in the local market.
With the opening, Zorz joins Botswana’s growing hospitality and dining sector, bringing a South African Chisanyama concept into a market with its own established culture of outdoor grilling and social dining.
