An avid football supporter and Arsenal Fan, Sianyinda Sichombo recently went on the trip of his lifetime after being announced as the grand prize winner of Absa’s “Win Your Ticket to Glory with the Absa Assist” Campaign.

Alongside his partner, Sichombo headed to London on Friday 19 May 2024 to watch the Arsenal vs. Everton match live at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 21 May, enjoying a live game as well as several exciting excursions in London.

The campaign was designed to encourage customers to conveniently pay with their Absa Debit or Credit cards and further offering them a chance to win prizes including the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK to watch an English Premier League game live in the UK for a customer and their selected partner. Absa is the official banking partner of the English Premier League in Africa.

Expressing his joy, Sichombo said, “I am a football fan, an Arsenal supporter and this was my first time watching a live EPL game. What a great opportunity given to us by Absa Bank Botswana!”

Speaking on behalf of the bank, Dennis Mambure, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs said, “We are thrilled to offer our customers such incredible opportunities and once-in a lifetime experiences. This initiative rewards our customers for their loyalty  as well as enhances their banking experience with us. At Absa, we are committed to providing value-added services and creating memorable experiences for our clients.”

Beyond the Absa Assist campaign, since January 2024, Absa Bank Botswana has delighted 22 UK based customers by treating them to live match experiences.

By offering unique and valuable opportunities for customers to win exciting prizes while spending their money, Absa continues to strengthen its relationship with its clients. This approach underscores Absa’s dedication to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction, making banking not just a necessity but a rewarding experience.
