GABORONE 1 December 2021, Commissioner General of Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS) Jeanette Makgolo briefs the media in Gaborone on 1 December2 2021 on the on going tax amnesty.   • Has devised a strategy to ensure a collection target of P60.4bn

  • Filing season for returns extended to 31 December

Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) has devised a revenue mobilisation strategy to enhance maximum collection as it strives to meet a target of P60.4 billion in tax collections.

According to Commissioner General Jeanette Makgolo, focus areas of the strategy include collection of outstanding returns and overdue payments across all types of tax, mainly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Pay as You Earn (PAYE).
