The government has suffered a legal setback in its second attempt to challenge a P1.5 billion water supply contract awarded to Tawana Joint Venture after the Court of Appeal struck out its application for leave to appeal.
In a ruling delivered last week, Justice of Appeal Michael Leburu dismissed a joint application by the Accounting Officer of the Ministry of Water and Human Settlement and the Attorney General, saying the application was filed out of time and without exceptional justification. The tender relates to the detailed design and construction of the Ghanzi South and Kgalagadi North Villages Water Supply Project.
