Separation with Majwe Mining saves Debswana Billions

• Giant mining parastatal saves P3.6 billion 
• Contract mining accounted for huge portion of Debswana costs 

Debswana freed itself from huge costs when it terminated a US$1.3 billion contract with Majwe Mining effective 4 January 2021, only two years after it was signed, the General Manager of Jwaneng Mine, Koolatotse Koolatotse, has said.
