The Bank says it is pleased to deliver impact in the form of sponsoring three University of Botswana students for future skills development. This is underpinned by the Bankโs Social, Environment, and Economics (SEE) strategic value driver, working to further support education, bridge the youth employability gap, and contribute towards Botswanaโs transformation and innovation readiness.
Spearheaded by the Bankโs Transformation Office, two young men and one young woman were selected. They will be supported on their three respective professional courses as follows:
- Oaitse Tseleng, Block Chain (Block Chain Institute)
- Maitumelo Radipodi, Data Engineering: Azure for the Data Engineer (Microsoft)
- Timothy Ngwenya, Data Science Solution on Azure (Microsoft)

The Bank says it continues to give youth platforms for future skills development as a way of cultivating their future and employment opportunities. Most recently, this has been demonstrated through the extensive investment in youth employability and entrepreneurship efforts through the Stanbic Bank Accelerate Incubator, as well as a number of academic sponsorship efforts. Education remains a core element in the Bankโs CSI strategy under SEE.
