Standard Chartered Bank, in collaboration with ABM University College, hosted a dynamic and inspiring edition of its flagship Atlega Mentorship Session, under the theme “Career Journeys and Empowerment through Mentorship.”
The event is designed to equip young people—including recent graduates, tertiary students, unemployed youth, and budding entrepreneurs—with the tools, insights, and confidence to thrive in the world of work and enterprise. Through a powerful combination of storytelling, peer engagement, and personal development, Atlega, continues to cement its place as a leading youth mentorship platform in Botswana.
The programme featured a panel of 12 mentors and four moderators from various sectors, including banking, compliance, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, brand & marketing, and technology. These included professionals from Standard Chartered Bank, past Women in Tech (WiT) finalists, and other industry leaders.

The initiative forms part of Standard Chartered Botswana’s broader commitment to youth development, financial inclusion, and community engagement. The Atlega Mentorship Session, a flagship initiative of the Bank, seeks to create a platform for positive change in Botswana by fostering an environment where everyone can realise their potential.
