Wilderness wins at International Tourism Film Festival Africa

Created to honour exceptional and innovative video content related to the tourism and travel industry, the film festival recognises the very best TV ads, promotional films, video campaigns, social videos, video blogs, documentaries, and reports from the global creative community.

This year 378 entries were submitted from 59 countries, comprising an outstanding array of work from the industry.

Among them, Wilderness’ ‘call to explore the world’s most iconic wild destinations’ saw our new brand film take the Silver Award for the Responsible and Sustainable Travel video, the Gold Award for Game Lodge video, and the Pinnacle Award for Tourism Africa – an absolutely phenomenal achievement.

The awards ceremony, which took place on 5 May at the Labia Theatre in Cape Town, South Africa, was attended by Wilderness CMO Simone Strahle, Head of Creative Marius De Jager, Head of Brand Kate MacWilliam, PR Manager Clara Del Castello and Brand Designer Verena Altern, who said they were all extremely humbled to be recognised amongst such a wealth of talent from all over the world. “It was an honour to have our Wilderness brand film recognised at this year’s ITFFA, among some of the best tourism films worldwide. We are proud to have created something that pushes the boundaries of traditional safari films to really capture the essence of what we do: bringing people to experience Africa’s raw and untamed wilderness while sharing our passion and commitment to protecting wilderness, wildlife, and communities”, said Simone.
