Botswana’s future in boxing seems to be lying on the distaff side as women continue to rake in medals for the country at international competitions.

Roughly a month ago, a female boxer Lethabo Modukanele became Botswana’s only competitor to earn an individual medal at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Modukanele earned a bronze at the competition after advancing to the semifinals of the women’s minimum weight category. This also ensured that she became Botswana’s first female boxer to win the country a medal at the Commonwealth Games.
