Liquid Intelligent Technologies has expanded its footprint in Botswana with the introduction of cloud and cyber security solutions aimed at strengthening the country’s digital resilience as businesses and government institutions continue embracing digital transformation.

The announcement, made in Gaborone as the company celebrates a decade of operations in Botswana, positions the technology firm as a key player in supporting secure digital growth across sectors such as government, telecommunications, financial services and critical infrastructure.

At the centre of the new offering is Secure360, an integrated cyber security framework designed to help organisations detect, prevent and respond to digital threats proactively rather than reacting after breaches occur. The platform combines local expertise with continental infrastructure and global technology partnerships to deliver enterprise-grade digital protection and cloud capabilities.

Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Odirile Tamajobe, said the company’s investment over the past decade has laid a strong foundation for Botswana’s digital future.

He revealed that Liquid has deployed more than 1,174 kilometres of fibre infrastructure in the country, including a 730-kilometre backbone along the A1 road, helping position Botswana as a strategic regional connectivity hub linking countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Tamajobe said the introduction of cloud and cyber security services would now allow local businesses to access world-class digital solutions capable of enhancing competitiveness on the global stage.

Meanwhile, CEO of Cassava Technologies South Africa and Botswana, Ziaad Suleman, said customers in Botswana would benefit from the wider Cassava digital ecosystem through the group’s “One Cassava” approach.

He noted that beyond cyber security and cloud services, organisations would also gain access to services such as data centres, AI readiness assessments and customised digital transformation roadmaps aimed at supporting long-term innovation and resilience.

The latest expansion comes as Botswana continues pursuing its Vision 2036 ambitions to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen technology-driven economic growth.
