  • Plans to inaugurate more outlets nationwide

As Trans Cash and Carry commemorated a year of remarkable growth marked by significant achievements and philanthropic endeavors, the wholesaler eagerly anticipates seizing greater opportunities to expand its brand and footprint across Botswana.

During a recent media engagement session, Shine Baby, Trans Africa’s Operations Director, expressed the company’s aspirations for 2024. They plan to inaugurate more outlets nationwide, thereby fostering increased employment opportunities and fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by adopting one school in each location where a Trans shop operates.

With a steadfast belief in their unique contribution to the FMCG landscape, Trans remains confident that with a clear strategic roadmap, unwavering dedication to quality service, and steadfast commitment to their core values, the wholesaler is primed for a future where they will not only meet but surpass the expectations of clients and stakeholders alike.

Over the past year, Trans has expanded its presence, opening new stores in Serowe and Kazungula, and adding a second outlet in Palapye. Additionally, the Tlokweng and Mahalapye stores underwent expansions, while new products were introduced, ensuring a continuously evolving and diverse range for their customers. Presently, Trans operates in 14 locations, encompassing 21 stores, with over 1,000 individuals contributing to the group’s workforce.

On the CSR front, the retailer demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating stationery and lunch packs to two schools in Maun and Palapye during a back-to-school drive. Furthermore, they contributed to community welfare by constructing a P2 million clinic in Gasita.

Expressing gratitude, Baby remarked, “This past year has underscored our strength and commitment to excellence. We are grateful for the trust bestowed upon us by our customers and proud of our dedicated team. Looking ahead, we remain committed to delivering quality products, innovative solutions, and making a positive impact on the communities we serve.”
