Boxers yet to Receive Prizes from 2022 African Boxing Championships 

GABORONE 9 April 2022, Rajab Mahommed and Keamogetse Kenosi wins the Male and Female boxer of the year award respectively during the Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) awards ceremony 2019-2021 held in Gaborone on 9 April 2022. Botswana national team boxers who won medals or finished in the top three at the Africa Boxing Championships in Maputo, Mozambique in September last are yet to receive their prize money from Africa Boxing Confederation (AFBC), The Business Weekly Sports has established.

According to the International Boxing Association (IBA) website, gold medallists of the AFBC are entitled to USD 10 000, silver medallists USD 5 000, and bronze medallists across all weight categories USD 2 500.
