The elevation of Olebile Ntsodi Matlapeng Sikwane as chief executive of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) and Gaokgala Lemmenyane as chief executive of the National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) marks a coordinated attempt to professionalise two sectors long treated primarily as social goods, rather than fully fledged economic systems.
